Insurance & Payment

We keep insurance and fees straightforward. Before testing, we check your benefits, give a clear estimate, and offer options whether you use in-network coverage, out-of-network benefits, or self-pay.

In-network insurance

Use your in-network mental health benefits for testing when available.

  • In-network with BCBS PPO/HMO, Cigna, Aetna, and United commercial plans.
  • We bill insurance directly; you are responsible for any copays, deductible, and coinsurance your plan assigns.

Out-of-network & reimbursement

Many PPO plans allow you to use out-of-network benefits for testing.

  • You pay our fee and then submit a superbill or courtesy claim for possible reimbursement.
  • Your insurer decides what portion is applied to your deductible and what, if anything, is reimbursed.

Self-pay & payment options

Clear flat fees when you prefer not to use insurance.

  • Limited-scope assessments usually start around $1,000; most comprehensive evaluations are $2,500–$3,500.
  • We accept major cards and most HSA/FSA cards, and can arrange structured payment plans for larger evaluations.

Transparent fees & estimates

Before you schedule, we give a written estimate of the testing we expect to provide, what insurance is likely to pay, and your estimated out-of-pocket cost. If you are not using insurance, you receive a Good Faith Estimate as required by the No Surprises Act.

  • What will I pay? Most comprehensive evaluations are $2,500–$3,500, with limited-scope assessments usually starting around $1,000; we confirm your expected cost in writing.
  • How are estimates handled? If the testing plan changes, we review the change with you, explain any difference, and provide an updated estimate.

Cancellations & financial policies

Testing blocks several hours of clinician time, so we need advance notice for changes and cannot bill insurance for missed appointments.

  • Review your intake paperwork for the current cancellation window and any late-cancel or no-show fees; these charges are billed directly to you.
  • If insurance does not cover a portion of the evaluation or denies a claim, any remaining balance is your responsibility; our team is happy to discuss payment options.
